ADAMS SIGNS FOR SAUDI CLUB AL-SHABAB

Englishman MohammedAdams has signed for Saudi club Al-Shabab after the termination of his contract with MLS football side Inter Miami managed by compatriot Phil Neville and co-owned by compatriot David Beckham.


Adams signed for Inter Miami via a tradefrom fellow MLS football side Atlanta United at the end of last year. He went on to make eight appearances for Inter Miami. Adams made five starts and three substitute appearances for Inter Miami during his time at the MLS football club. At Inter Miami, Adams ranked third for pressures per 90 minutes (29.7) and seventh for recoveries per 90 minutes (7.95).

Inter Miami revealed that Adams’ contract at the club has been terminated via a short statement on Friday. Shortly after, Saudi outfit Al-Shababannounced his transfer. Ex-Nottingham Forest midfielder Adams has signed a four-year deal at Al-Shabab who are fourth on the Saudi Pro League standings with two games left to play before the end of the season.

Phil Neville still has some midfield options at his disposal on the back of the exit of the aforementioned Adams. The other midfield options at Inter Miami include Gregore, Bryce Duke and Jean Mota. Ex-Manchester United and Everton star Phil Neville has done a decent job at Inter Miami in the current MLS football season with his team in contention for a playoff spot at the moment.

Former England women’s team manager Phil Neville was named the Inter Miami head coach at the start of the 2021 MLS football season, but he was unable to lead them to the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Neville could be the first manager to lead Inter Miami to the playoffsif he can make it happen this season. Inter Miami are currently in seventh spot in the Eastern Conference with 18 points from 14 games. Seventh spot is the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
