The Northern Arizona women’s soccer team will host its first spring game Saturday when it welcomes the defending National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Paradise Valley Community College of Phoenix. The game will begin at noon and be played at Lumberjack Stadium.
NAU has played four spring games thus far, all in Tempe, and have faced Arizona State, Arizona, UC Riverside and New Mexico State. Following Saturday’s game against Paradise Valley, NAU will travel to Prescott to face Embry Riddle at 7 p.m. The Pumas of Paradise Valley CC, featuring several future NCAA soccer players, went 24-0 in 2010, including a 1-0 win over Tyler Junior College in Topeka, Kan., to win the women’s soccer national championship.
Admission for Saturday’s match will be free.
