Colorado Rapids have been on an impressive form of late and it looks like manager Oscar Pareja wants to capitalise on this great form to help his team beat San Jose earthquakes in the next league match. Colorado Rapids have not been defeated in the last three matches, while they have taken seven points from a possible nine. They are looking likely to finish in the play-offs at the end of the season. The next three matches will be extremely difficult for the club, as they will be on the road for all of them.
Oscar Pareja has revealed that he loves such type of matches and he cannot wait to face San Jose, who will be coming into the match on the back of the 4-0 defeat against Seattle Sounders. This humiliating defeat ended any hope of short-term revival from the club, who had won their match against Toronto 2-1 a week ago. Despite the poor run of form, Pareja is not taking his next opponent lightly because he considers them to be one of the best teams in the MLS. Colorado Rapids come on the back of two consecutive victories against Toronto and Columbus Crew.
They are currently fifth in the table after having taken 15 points from the last 11 matches.
“If you ask me what model I want to use to win games, I’d say I would like to play the way we played in Dallas. With the effectiveness we had in Columbus. And with the personality to keep the ball away from the other team that we had in Houston. That’s the challenge. an Jose has a tendency to use speed on the flanks. They come at you. They’re very aggressive with a lot of people up front,” said Colorado Rapids manager Oscar ahead of the match with San Jose.
